Aggro Moss

Aggro Moss is a musician with a laid-back and somewhat detached personality. She used to play in a band with her ex, Alan, who was also her manager and waited in a bar for him to return. Her real name is Agatha and earned her nickname from her former bandmate after she was caught with Alan and assaulted her.

Background[ | ]

Aggro's life was a chaotic mess from the moment her mother remarried for an unspecified reason. Going from the laid back nature loving woman that accepted Aggro's lifestyle of rock and roll to being a born again Christian who rejected Aggro's lifestyle, Aggro chafed under her mother's new lifestyle. As soon she had secured a record deal with an indie company she went on tour with her band and gotten into trouble ranging from bar fights, increased smoking habits and marrying Alan, her manager/band mate. Her marriage came quickly to an end when she catches him with another band mate in bed. While Aggro had a divorce, she still performed with Alan as they toured around bars. It was at the Dublin bar when the zombie apocalypse hit the motel they were at and they went to the bar while Alan looked for help.

Recruitment[ | ]

Note: Aggro will die if she is not recruited before Day 41 (June 2nd).

Aggro can be found in the "Dublin Bar" near Stephenville. If you have Lane Vibesit in your party, he'll recognize her, and be really enthusiastic to have her join the Shelter. However, if you're aggressive with her, she'll attack you, and if you refuse to take her along when Lane is in your party, he'll leave the Shelter and go with her instead unless you have 4 Leadership.

Events[ | ]

*Spoilers*

  • After you rescue her she will come to you one morning and ask you to revisit the bar (Dublin Bar) you found her at to see if her boyfriend Alan has returned. When the player arrives at the bar they will find Alan already dead. Alan has turned into a zombie the player must then kill him and take a note from his body and give it to Aggro. She wants to be alone after reading it.
  • If you're playing a male character, one day she will come to you and ask you for sex. She mentions it is a one time thing, and that it won't happen again. You can turn her down by saying your character is not into women, or - if you said you lost someone in the plane crash - you can bring up that you're still missing them (however, she also will insist because she already lost Alan, she considers it ok), try to let her down gently (a very minor Mood loss), or turn her downright (medium Mood loss). If you bring it up after this, she'll make it clear it was a one-time thing, and will potentially lose Mood if you push the issue.
  • After being in the Shelter for just over three weeks, Aggro will come and talk to you, admitting that she's unused to a life that isn't constantly traveling and playing shows, and is bored and depressed that nobody knows her or her music here. If you're dismissive, she'll slink off and take a Mood penalty. If you're patient with her, she'll thank you for letting her vent, and leave with a slight Mood bonus. There is a leadership option (3+) to urge her to help you to collect food and people will like her more, which leads to a small Mood bonus as well. There is also a negotiation option to tell her you are a fan. The negotiation option leads you to have to tell her what one of her songs is called: if you get it right, she gains a significant Mood bonus, but if you get it wrong she gets a Mood penalty. (The correct title is "Your Love is a Hitman," the second to last option - if you have been listening to the Radio consistently, Lane will play this on Day 32.)
  • If the player builds the Rooftop Garden upgrade, Aggro has a high Mood, and she's been in the Shelter for a little over three weeks, she'll again approach you, reminiscing about her mom and that she used to have a garden. This is the event to influence her traits. The first option has her focus on gardening, and gains the "Cultivator" trait, resulting in her helping grow 25% more food per week. The other one has her focus on fighting and scavenging, earning her the "Bat Woman" trait, which gains her a 25% damage increase when she's using a bat thanks to her experiences in bar brawls. (At this point a new option opens up in her Shelter dialogue - you can ask her about her mother for a little more information on her background.)
  • Around Day 65, if Aggro is still in the Shelter, she'll come talk to you about the state of things, apologizing for being so disinterested in everything and not caring. She explains that it was part of being constantly on the road. There are several options and one that involves a leadership check (6 Leadership needed = leads to +3 Mood. The others only grant +1 Mood)
  • If you have Lane Vibesit in the Shelter, his fanboy nature will get him into trouble with Aggro if you don't manage the situation carefully. If Lane and Aggro have been in the Shelter together for a few days, Lane will come up to you asking if you're interested in her, or if you could put in a good word for him with her. A few days after this incident, Aggro will approach you and complain about Lane not leaving her alone - she'll warn you to tell him to stay away from her. If nothing is done within a few days, Lane will come to you complaining loudly that Aggro beat him up, and asking for you to do something about it. You can confront Aggro after this and either punish her or commend her for her actions. At any point during this sequence, you can talk to Lane to get him to leave Aggro alone, and depending on how you handle this, could cause either a light or a significant Mood loss - but definitely less than doing nothing and letting the scenario play out.
  • Sometime after joining the Shelter and finally opening up to everyone, she offers to perform to boost the morale of the people of the shelter. She will need guitar strings as well as 2 gallons of fuel for her concert to work and failing to do that will make her upset as she is unable to perform. Complete the task to get a mood and morale boost to the shelter
  • If Aggro is taken along to recruit Lane Vibesit, he will be ecstatic to see her. However, Aggro will secretly remind you she is not going to put up with any of Lane's attempts to seduce her. Killing him will lower her mood in comparison to Lane who would get upset if you abandon her.

Traits[ | ]

Initial

  • Unfazed: "The undead are just another problem in a long series of problems for Aggro, meaning she isn't afraid of them."
  • Greenhands: "This ally enjoys having a Greenhouse in the Shelter, and will gain a one-time mood boost after it is completed."

Gained Via Conversation

  • Cultivator: "Aggro has decided to put her energy into cultivating the Garden, resulting in 25% more food produced."

OR

  • Bat Woman: "Aggro has opted to unleash her wrath on her enemies with her favorite weapons, giving her 25% increased damage when using bats."

Play Style[ | ]

Aggro is halfway decent melee fighter, and the fact that she doesn't panic from the undead is very helpful in certain maps. However, her lower stats and higher chance to panic from damage means she's likely outclassed by several other fighters later in the game, and is likely best left to a support role in the Shelter.

Aggro will NOT react to killing neutral survivors.
